Many of you have taken advantage of the free meals for children during the statewide Stay-at-Home order and now the Safer-at-Home order. This message is to alert you of a slight change in the schedule. Staff will not be at the sites on Monday, May 25, as they will be observing the Memorial Day holiday. They are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at the regular time and location as you pick up meals for your children. Tomorrow's lunch pick-up will include food for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! The regular schedule will resume on Tuesday, May 26.
The school system established a “grab & go” style student meal encouraging those picking up the meals to remain at the pick-up table to reduce the potential transmission of the coronavirus. Any child 18 years old or younger will be eligible for meals. Unlike the summer feeding program, the federal government provided a waiver that allows parents to pick up the meals to take home to their children. Read more by clicking the heading above.
