Opt In for Surveys

Teachers often give surveys to get to know their students better and customize instruction to the young people's interests.

We are required by law to get your permission if a survey is given that asks any questions about:

1) Political affiliations or beliefs

2) Mental or psychological problems of the student/student's family

3) Sex behavior or attitudes

4) Illegal, antisocial, self-incriminating, or demeaning behavior

5) Legal recognized privileged relationships or "analogous relationships," such as with lawyers, physicians, and ministers

6) Religious practices, affiliations, or beliefs of the student or student's parent;

7) Income, other than as required by law to determine eligibility for a program/financial assistance.
