Alexander County Schools offer 5 to 7 classes per year based on student needs. Behind-the-wheel driving is scheduled after school, weekends, holidays, and summers. Classes are currently online and the cost is $65.00.
To be eligible for the class, the student must be 14 1/2 years old prior to the date of the class. The student must be attending a public, private, or homeschool within Alexander County and be in the 9th grade or higher.
Dates for Driver's Education classes:
January 17, 2023 - Online registration - the registration link will be emailed to all ACHS and AEC students. The class will max out at 80 students.
January 25th -First day of online class
February 8 - Last day of online class
Dates for the DMV eye exams, forms and payments will be announced.
February 28, 2023 - the registration link will be emailed to all ACHS and AEC students. The class will max out at 80 students.
March 7 - First day of online class
March 21 - Last day of online class
Date for the DMV eye exam, forms and payments will be announced.
