Responsibilities

  • The Education Manager ensures that all children enrolled in Alexander County Head Start are provided with a safe, nurturing, enjoyable and secure learning environment and that each child is treated as an individual with respect for diversity. Another role is to foster a continuum of physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth and development. This is done through supervising of/and training for all teaching personnel, developing and overseeing curricula, and providing educational resources for staff and parents. The Education Manager is responsible for all aspects of classroom and education requirements. Additionally, the Disabilities Manager works with classroom staff to insure that they have the support and materials needed to provide a successful learning environment for the children with special needs.
