Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Fifth Grade! My name is Miss Hertzler and I am so excited to teach at Bethlehem Elementary School!
I began teaching at Bethlehem in 2006. I've been fortunate to spend my teaching career at Bethlehem. I am very focused as a teacher, but I love to have fun. Technology and teamwork are major focuses in my classroom. We will complete lots of fun projects at school and learn to work together. This will be a super fun year!!
I grew up here in Bethlehem and graduated high school from Alexander Central. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!)
My family is everything to me. I currently live next door to my parents and spend time with them every day. I have one brother, Kurtis, who live in Mt. Holly with his wife, Kasey. On December 10th, 2016, they welcomed their first child into the world. I love my little nephew! Being an aunt is the best!!!
I am not married and I don't have any children, but I do have two fur-kids who are the absolute joy of my life! Trooper is lab/beagle mix. Abby is a Goldendoodle. Abby is a therapy dog, and visits with children at our local libraries so they can read to her. When I'm not at school or volunteering, my favorite place to be as at home with them.
