I grew up in upstate New York, on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, close to the Canadian border. Pure maple syrup, cheese curd, and snow are popular items from my hometown. Fort Drum army base has also brought much growth to that area. I have lived in North Carolina for 21 years. I first lived in Hickory, where I had a few different jobs, before moving to Taylorsville and beginning my teaching career. I have my Masters in teaching and my National Board Certification. This is my 15th year of teaching, all at Sugar Loaf. My goal for teaching is to integrate laughter and fun into what is a busy school year filled with a rigorous curriculum.
