Master's Degree in Elem. Ed. National Board Certification
Miss Cindy Greene
I grew up in (the real) upstate New York, on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, near the Canadian border. Pure maple syrup, cheese curd, and snow are popular items from my hometown area. Expansion of the Fort Drum army base (10th Mountain Division) brought much growth to the community beginning in the 80s. Growing up, I enjoyed fishing, swimming, water skiing, and playing sports! I attended Jefferson Community College and SUNY Fredonia while living in NY.
I have lived in North Carolina for numerous years. I first lived in Hickory where I had a few different jobs, before moving to Taylorsville and beginning my teaching career. I received my Masters in teaching from Gardner-Webb University, and also achieved my National Board Certification. My entire teaching career has been at Sugar Loaf Elementary. My goal for teaching is to integrate laughter and fun into what is a busy school year filled with a rigorous curriculum and testing. Be prepared for your children to be challenged as they learn critical thinking skills and answer essential questions throughout their 1st grade school year.
