Stay safe, healthy and well.
I am very excited to have your child in my art class this semester.
We will be doing many creative projects and learning a great deal about art while we are together.
In addition to the work I do with students in the classroom, I am active in our school with my work on the School Improvement Team, The Alexander Muse Literary and Arts Magazine, PRIDE Club, and the Fine Arts Department Chair. I teach AP Studio Art, Art III (aka Pre AP), Art II Advanced 2-D Drawing and Painting, Art 1, and Folk Art.
I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education and a minor in the Visual Arts. I received my Masters in Art Education from East Carolina University. Along with my experience here at ACHS, I have taught in Hickory and Spencer, NC.
My husband and I have two wonderful children, two sweet dogs and two amazingly adorable bunnies.
When I'm not teaching or being on active mom-duty (i.e. kids are sleeping), I run a successful side business for commissioned artwork.
If you need to contact me, please feel free to call me during my planning period.
