I have been teaching for 19 years.  I started my career in Caldwell County and then moved to Alexander County.  I have taught grades 1 thru 5. I have a Master's in Reading and am Nationally Board Certified in Literacy. I am excited about joining Hiddenite this year as the Reading Specialist.

I am married and have 3 children.  My son Trent is a junior at ACHS, Lanie is a freshman and Cooper is a 6th grader at West Alexander Middle School.  We live in the Ellendale community.
