Welcome to my classroom. I am an Alexander County native, and look forward to a wonderful year with you and your child. I have 20 years of experience in the regular education setting. Eleven years in 5th grade, four years in 2nd grade, one year in 3rd grade, and 4 years in 6th grade. In December 2001, I graduated from Appalachian State University and acquired my National Board Certification in 2010 and renewed my NBCT Certification in 2020.  

On a personal note, my husband, Jack works for Protective Securities in Hickory, NC and we have 3 children: Anna, Hayden, and Rachel. I love going on adventures with my family, hiking, tubing, skiing, beaching, and much more.
