Mrs. Michaell Ratchford

Hello Alexander Early College Owls.  What an exciting adventure this is to be a part of the a new school!

I am from Alexander County and went through Alexander County Schools.  There were many teachers and principals who were such positive influences on me.  They, along my parents, encouraged me to purse all of my dreams including college.  Working with high school students and helping them achieve their personal, academic, and college/career goals is my passion.

My work experience includes high school counseling in Alexander, Iredell and Catawba Counties for over 16 years.  I have also served as Student Services Coordinator in Catawba County. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Winston-Salem State University and Master of Arts degree in Community Agency Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne College.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jerry and my daughters, Madison and Myla.  Community and church involvement is also a very important part of my life.
