Alexander County Schools has always shared our curriculum with parents and the community to help build understanding of our vision and mission. The district follows the NC Standard Course of Study. Below is a link for those standards.

Our curriculum is largely teacher and instructional coach developed and can be found in multi-day learning focused lesson plans. Curriculum materials not developed by our teachers, but approved for use in our schools are listed below. This page will be updated quarterly. If you would like more detailed information in regards to content and resources, please contact your student's teacher.

Kindergarten through second grade ELA curriculum is heavily integrated with Science and Social Studies standards. Where there are stand alone lessons, these links are provided.
