Alexander County School Superintendent Dr. Bill Griffin has announced that Jacob Lail, principal at ACHS, will move into district administration after the school year is finished. Griffin made the announcement to staff at the May 7th faculty meeting, stating that Lail will be an asset to serve all schools in Alexander County.
Lail began his work at Alexander Central in May of 2022. Prior to that he was the principal at West Alexander Middle School, and assistant principal at ACHS and East Alexander Middle School.
Lail obtained his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He has a bachelor’s degree in History, secondary education from Appalachian State University.
